About

Winsford Lawn Tennis Club has been established since 1973. The Club has four all-weather hard courts, two grass courts (which will be ready for summer use), and a pavilion that is used as a club house.

Our Club Rules and Constitution can be downloaded and viewed here: Club Rules and Constitution.

For details about our Club Committee and Team Captains for 2019-2020, please download the document here: Club Committee Members and Team Captains.

Photos of the tennis courts and our club house can be seen here: Winsford Tennis Club Photos.

We currently have four men’s teams and one mixed team in the Slazenger South & Mid Cheshire Summer Tennis League. We also have two teams in the Slazenger South & Mid Cheshire Winter and Spring Tennis League (both men and women can play in these teams). Details about our teams and these leagues can be found here: SMC League.

As well as competing in these leagues, the Club holds its own internal competitions. These include the annual Club Cup singles and doubles tournaments, the Rob Haywood Trophy which is a doubles competition, and an internal singles ladder that any member can join. Social tennis sessions are also available throughout the week for all those who are interested.

We are currently in the process of applying for funding for the tennis courts to be resurfaced and painted, and for the installation of running water, a toilet, and floodlights for the tennis club.
